International 4H Youth Exchange (IFYE)

• Organises cultural exchange programmes for persons aged 18-28 belonging to a 4H club in their own country
  
  
• The participants stay during 2-7 months with several families sharing the families’ daily tasks and leisure time activities; they are expected to represent their country in 4H happenings and other events
  
  
• The participants pay for their travel costs and personal expenses; IFYE and the host families are responsible for other expenses

International Cultural Youth Exchange (ICYE) - Finland

• Offers international voluntary work in an alternative living situation for persons aged under 30
  
  
• Placements are usually in folk high schools or establishments for disabled persons
  
  
• The stays last six months or one year; during the first two weeks the volunteers participate in a Finnish language course
  
  
• Programme costs vary from country to country depending on the GNP of the country; the volunteers receive pocket money
